Quick update. v1.0.0.2 is out.

Not a big update, but I feel a needed one. Just fixed a little glitch with the mute button not updating status when the system is muted via another method ie. using the systems control panel, or system volume control, or any other applications that allow you to mute the system's main volume.

I recommend you all update to this version.

The Creative X-Fi Sidebar Mode Changer Gadget is finally available for download. The first public release version is v1.0.0.1.
Thanks to all the beta testers that helped make sure this will work on different computers apart from the only one Ive had available to me to develop this.

A really special thank you to Mystified from the Microsoft Developer Network. Hes help and input, have made this gadget a neat well structured gadget from an internal point of view.

With the extensive help of Mystified from the Microsoft Developer Network, the entire code has been re-written in the gadget. Alot of optimization's done, and better methods used.

Also, ive managed to clean out the gadget folder from any Creative exe's, and even managed to pack the script exe's that make the mode changed down into one executable. Just tested the gadget on windows 8 x86 customer review edition, and it seems to work even better than in windows 7 for some strange reason. To clarify... during a windows 7 installation of the gadget, it seems that you need to restart the Sidebar to see the gadget for the first time, but only the first time. I haven't been able to figure out why it does that yet. However, during a windows 8 installation of the gadget, it seems to start up right away after installation. Im pleased about that ...
